Terms and Conditions

The contract between B & S Glass Industries Ltd ,or our parent company Glass Bending and Decorating Ltd (GB & D) ,and the Customer shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute shall be resolved by the English Courts.

All our products are bespoke pieces and therefore an order cannot be cancelled by the Customer once accepted by B & S Glass Industries Ltd (or GB & D) either before or after delivery.

Because all our glass and surface finishes are hand made there will be some variation in colour, shading and antiquing between our website and that of the finished order. All hand silvering will naturally age over time. To clean the mirror only glass cleaner should be used on the surface of our convex mirrors avoiding edge surfaces.

In assessing any fault in our silver, antique silver, or laminated coloured convex mirrors they should be viewed at right angles to the mirror not less than three metres away in natural daylight.

Scratches, marks, bubbles and inclusions not visible from three metres viewing distance will be deemed acceptable.Because we are free bending the glass onto a steel mould we need a tolerance of +/- 4% on the overall finished diameter of the convex. However,if the convex is going into a frame then we need the frame at our factory to ensure a fit.

All convex mirrors supplied with clips must be installed at least 800mm up from the finished floor level to the bottom edge of the mirror.

All concave mirrors must be installed away from direct sunlight.

B & S Glass Industries Ltd (or GB & D) gives no guarantee, warranty or undertaking as regards to the fitness or suitability of the product for the Customer's intended purpose, place of storage, display or hanging. No claims whatsoever will be entertained from damage caused by faulty installation. All our products must be installed to the Code of practice for safety related to human impact as defined in BS6262 Part 4:2005 and subsequent ammendments.

On delivery the Customer shall carefully unwrap and inspect the goods in the presence of the courier or our delivery driver.

B & S Glass Industries Ltd (or GB & D) shall not be liable for any shortage in quantity or any damage in transit unless this is noted on the Company's delivery note and full written details are sent to the Company within 24 hours.

In no circumstances shall B & S Glass Industries Ltd (or GB & D) be liable

to compensate the Customer in damages or otherwise for late delivery or non delivery of the goods or for any loss arising from it.

Risk of the goods shall pass to the Customer upon delivery of the goods into the care of the customer or his agent.

Products that are made to specification cannot be refunded ,unless faulty.

Customers own lamps and furniture left at our premises for glasswork ,are done so at the customers own risk.

No claims will be entertained for damaged, lost, or stolen items owned by the customer and left at their own risk.

We suggest customers own lamps and doors, that require new glass ,arrive in an unfinished state, as offering new glass to existing openings can mark or scratch final finished surfaces. We will accept no liability for the same.

We work to international standard ISO 11485 for our bent glass products which is the general standard recognised in the industry.
